Fresh off the BBC website here's the brand new design for the Cybermen, who are due to return in the new series of Doctor Who in 2006. Is it just me, or does this new makeover make them seem half as scary as the previous designs? Just look at his sad little face, the poor silver chappy looks like he's about to cry...In other television news, Variety reports that David Cronenberg is apparently working on an adaptation of his own 1988 film, Dead Ringers, for HBO. Yup, that was the one about the twin gynecologists...
Finally, The Mighty Boosh are taking their show on the road - hitting Brighton on 11th February!

Question: Why is the new cyberman wearing a thong? Is it a stringfellow cyberman?
Question: Will the new cyberman come with his own inbuilt ipod?
Question: It is rumoured that this new cyberman variant will be able to tap dance. Can you confirm if this is true? No mention has been made of it on the BBC website.
Question: Will the cyberman's little friend, the cybermat have its own makeover? Will there be a version with "go faster" stripes? Will it have its own thong too?

Q1. The new Cyberman has been attired with the latest fashions in mind. By wearing a thong he will be able to pass undetected in a lapdancing club.
Q2. The new Cyberman will indeed have an inbuilt iPod. Handy hint for you Doc, if you can download Spandau Ballet's number one hit 'Gold' onto his iPod then that will render him defenceless.
Q3. No, that is false. I can confirm however that the Cyberman has been learning ballroom dancing, but this is in preparation for the next series of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and not connected to his role in 'Doctor Who'.
Q4. The Cybermat has had a complete makeover, and in a shocking twist in the new series, is revealed to be the Doctor's faithful companion K-9... but that's supposed to be a secret, so please keep that to yourself.
