Wednesday 31/12/03 by Graham Smith

New Year's Eve, the last day of 2003 and in turn, this crazy project. We've just finished doing the door for the BHPS Viennese Concert and one of the stewards, Graham, gets to take the final shot of Dom, Cotton and I surveying the Dome Bar. All done, it's off to the Waggon & Horses for a well deserved pint then!

Tuesday 30/12/03 by Phil Newton

It's your happy, smiling Brighton Dome Box Office team! The gang congregate for one last picture. Dom! Cotton! Debbie! Bennett! Phil! Jim! Polly is absent on holiday, whilst we've made Bev look after all the customers at the counter - sorry Bev.

Monday 29/12/03 by Dominic Plucknett

My desk has become a centre for all the cakes in the known universe. I can't take any more of this, I've had enough.

Sunday 28/12/03 by Debbie Page

Four days left so it's time to get one last really dull sat-at-my-desk pictures taken.

Saturday 27/12/03 by Bernard Brown

I've blown the project with five days to go, but who cares? It's too late to stop now, so I carry on regardless and put yesterday's mishap behind me. Just another speedbump in my journey. Bernard, one of our chief Stewards, obliges with the camera this afternoon.

Friday 26/12/03 by Phil Newton

I'll let you into a little secret here, this one was taken at 4pm. Cotton and I are in on Boxing Day duty, we get in around 2.45pm, I set up the camera, we turn the phones on... and next thing you know, we've 12 calls waiting. It's 4pm before I remember the picture - hence Cotton's look of disbelief. I've come so far...

Thursday 25/12/03 by Phil Newton

Christmas Day and I'm staying over at Gary's flat in Rottingdean for a couple of nights. Gary has just made a traditional Christmas lunch and now we're relaxing in front of the TV watching some old episodes of Futurama in preference of The Queen's Speech.

Wednesday 24/12/03 by Phil Newton

I'm over at Troy and Rom's house in Shoreham-by-Sea for a Christmas Eve meal and get together with them, Martin, Steve and Chrissy. We all get Christmas presents too! I never realised Lego made a snowboarding set until that day.

Tuesday 23/12/03 by Debbie Page

Run away! It's the demon spawn of Justin Hawkins from The Darkness and E.T. Let us also take time to remember that lovely little purple guitar, so cruelly smashed to pieces in the middle of New Road that evening by a very inebriated Dom.

Monday 22/12/03 by Polly Cole

Finally, one of the best photos of the year - it's the ultimate rock 'n' roll supergroup! Chris Martin from Coldplay, Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, 50 Cent, and Caleb Followill from Kings Of Leon all pay a visit to the Box Office this afternoon.

Sunday 21/12/03 by Phil Newton

Chris is visiting this afternoon to discuss the latest draft of his screenplay and to trawl through some of the many extras on the new Alien Quadrilogy DVD boxed set with me.

Saturday 20/12/03 by Phil Newton

I've ended up with a rare Saturday off work! I was being especially creative with my picture set up today, ended up wedging the camera behind the curtain rail. Worked out pretty well in the end I think.

Friday 19/12/03 by Debbie Page

I'm really taking the piss now.

Thursday, December 18, 2003

Thursday 18/12/03 by Polly Cole

Debbie tries unsuccesfully to creep up on me. Bennett does a good job of ignoring the two of us.

Wednesday 17/12/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Lock, Stock and Two Large Bottles of Tuaca. I've been out doing my Christmas shopping. Tuaca has become the Box Office shot of choice this year, largely due to Jim's influence. Note that my desk's unique gravity field has attracted yet more chocolates to it. Not mine.

Tuesday 16/12/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Dom and I are off on a mission to find posters and flyers when we bump into Aussie Sam down by the print room.

Monday 15/12/03 by Jim Turner

I manage to get away for a quick pint! Actually, this was taken up in the Pavilion Theatre on the set of the play Christmas which is in the middle of a two week run. It's a production by A.P.E. a local theatre company set up by actors Lee Ross and James Lance, and we all like it very much.

Sunday 14/12/03 by Phil Newton

Nick's recent spot of redecorating has resulted in everything being moved around the lounge. I really ought to get cracking on my packing soon, Bennett and I are due to move into our new flat in early January.

Saturday 13/12/03 by Bev Parke

Eleven and a half months completed and Debbie has finally had enough of my photographs and my stupid project.

Friday, December 12, 2003

Friday 12/12/03 by Polly Cole

Christmas is coming, Debbie found our little Christmas tree down in the basement whilst I was off yesterday and has set it up on the front counter. Polly comes back from Poundland with South Park's Mr Hankey The Christmas Poo.

Thursday 11/12/03 by Gary Jackman

It must be Winter now, the big coat and the woolly hat are out again. I'm picking up some cheap DVDs from Gary at HD2 once again. Seeing Blur in concert later on.

Wednesday 10/12/03 by Jim Turner

I think we we're a couple of minutes early with this picture!

Tuesday, December 09, 2003

Tuesday 09/12/03 by Debbie Page

I quite like this picture, it's like the edges of two separate photographs. In fact Jim and I just stood either side of the wall, peering at one another through the peephole, but it's resulted in quite an effective shot.

Monday 08/12/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Belle & Sebastian are playing at the Concert Hall tonight, supported by Franz Ferdinand. I miss out on this one.

Sunday, December 07, 2003

Sunday 07/12/03 by Phil Newton

Watching the goalless draw between Everton and Man City - when I'm not leaning against the wall that is - before I head into work to do the Grandaddy gig. Nick has finished painting the kitchen and lounge this week and I approve of the new colour scheme whole-heartedly.

OK... I'm getting desperate now.

Thursday 04/12/03 by Phil Newton

Out and about in Western Road doing a spot of shopping. The camera is stood on a gate post and I'm going to try and ignore all the people walking past me giving me strange looks.

Wednesday 03/12/03 by Phil Newton

I'm sitting on the floor for this picture in a vague attempt to do something different. It doesn't really help matters.

Tuesday 02/12/03 by Debbie Page

More excitement for Dom as his band, Good Morning Captain, make it into this month's edition of Insight. I think next year I'm just going to take photos of Dom at 3pm, it'll be a lot more interesting.

Monday 01/12/03 by Phil Newton

Only one more month to go! Yes Dom, you have been caught on camera again.

It hardly seems long ago that Dave arrived back from Thailand, but here he is ready to jet off to South-East Asia yet again. This trip he's joined by Justin who hasn't been back to Thailand since our six month holiday there in 2000.

Saturday 29/11/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Sorry Jim, that's gotta hurt. The great elastic band war continues and I take the opportunity to get in a cheap shot while Jim's on the phone. You could say it's a real battle of the bands. Do you see what I did there?

Friday 28/11/03 by Polly Cole

There's some really good doodles of Dom stuck on the wall next to that Peter Kay poster, courtesy of Jim. Sadly you can't see them clearly. "Dom likes crisps" is the best of the bunch. Did I mention Dom's addiction to crisps? Four packets a day some days, I kid you not!

Thursday 27/11/03 by Jim Turner

Jim tries something different - good man - and goes for a torso shot. Bev jumps in with the hot drinks.

Wednesday 26/11/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Back in the highly competitive world of Fantasy Football I've just announced our Manager of the Month award for November. Some astute transfer activity at the weekend ensures that Debbie snatches the cash prize from Polly at the last minute. There's going to be trouble now.

Tuesday 25/11/03 by Unknown Security Officer

Dave and I are caught lurking around Chinatown in the pouring rain. We're up in London today to see David Bowie perform at Wembley Arena later tonight. It's another cracking show from our musical hero, even if the venue is shit.

Monday, November 24, 2003

Monday 24/11/03 by Polly Cole

It's the welcome return of the sat-at-my-desk picture! Bennett dashes past in the background.

Can I go back to sleep now please?

It looks really dark in the office now, those Winter nights must be drawing in quickly.

Here I am with Tanya again and the wonderful Holly, the Brighton Festival Fringe co-ordinator. She's the person solely responsible for getting this project some exposure in the Fringe brochure, so thank you, thank you, thank you Holly!

Wednesday 19/11/03 by Steve Bennett

Caught on camera along Western Road as Bennett and I continue our viewings for a prospective flat. No luck so far.

Tuesday 18/11/03 by Jim Turner

I want your BRAAAAAIIINNS! Sorry, I've seen too many zombie movies. I break through the wall, Dom looks suitably worried.

I'm trying to hide from the customers again.

Thursday 13/11/03 by Polly Cole

It must be National Silly Hat Day today. This afternoon Maxine, our House Manager is wearing the latest in stylish caps from Debbie. Jim sports a woolly hat by fashionable Dom. I also wear an old woolly hat; sadly it's my own.

Wednesday 12/11/03 by Phil Newton

It's a better attempt at that old camera-on-the-floor routine, except this time I've set the camera higher up on a chair and we've got more bodies to cluster around it. Apart from me, there's Debbie, Jim, Helen from our Marketing Dept, and beardy-Dom.
