Friday 31/10/03 by Gary Jackman

After four days of working late I finally get my day off. Here I am browsing the DVD racks in HD2. This is what the photo on 13th May would have looked like, had Truprint not gone and lost it!

Thursday 30/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Today we're all excited at the prospect of Jane's Addiction playing live in the Concert Hall tonight. It turns out to be one of the best gigs I've witnessed here. A great finale to our week of live shows.

Wednesday 29/10/03 by Steve Cotton

Cotton gets all creative and goes for the downward angle.

Tuesday 28/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

We're into the week of One Live events now. We've lost Stephen Malkmus to The Old Market which means I'm gonna have to do the door for Sean Paul tonight instead, damn! Dom meanwhile has a support slot at The Freebutt on Friday night with The Tenderfoot.

Monday 27/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Yes it's the great fly infestation of 2003. Although my reaction is perhaps slightly over-exaggerated. Maybe there's another dead pigeon festering somewhere.

Sunday 26/10/03 by Phil Newton

After a late night of drinking at the post-Festival party at the Komedia where I accosted Demetri Martin and Daniel Kitson, I'm now on the phone to Lucy making arrangements for tonight's entertainment. Jim's other band, Assam Rifles, have their debut gig supporting Lo-Fidelity Allstars at the Concorde this evening.

Saturday 25/10/03 by Jim Turner

It's the closing day of the Paramount Brighton Comedy Festival. Jim and I check out the side stalls seating round in the Concert Hall ready for tonight's performance by Johnny Vegas. Later on people will throw coins at him and he'll stagedive into the audience. That's comedy, apparently.

Friday 24/10/03 by Lucy Tharme

The great elastic band war continues. Sorry Lucy, you're gonna get caught in the crossfire.

Thursday 23/10/03 by Phil Newton

I'm either watching a DVD or catching up on some much needed sleep.

Wednesday 22/10/03 by Jim Turner

Looks like it was me that ended up with a hair cut in the end. Wednesday is points day for our Fantasy Football game and Mel has finally moved off the bottom of the League table.

Tuesday 21/10/03 by Polly Cole

Lucy pops in again today on her way to Gatwick. Don't know what the scissor gesture is all about though, has Jim just had his hair cut? I've made a full recovery from the falling cube. And hey, look, Polly and her boat have made the front page of the Shoreham Herald!

Monday 20/10/03 by Steve Bennett

Send more paramedics! Disaster strikes on stage at the Corn Exchange when I'm flattened by a large vinyl cube. "Where did that come from?" says Cotton.

Sunday 19/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Sunday used to be a day of rest you know.

Saturday 18/10/03 by Steve Cotton

Bennett refuses to do a second day of sweatshirt modelling.

Friday 17/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Jim, Bennett and I model the latest Box Office sweatshirts.

Thursday 16/10/03 by Phil Newton

At last, a day off, time to catch up with some of the previous week's TV shows.

Wednesday 15/10/03 by Steve Cotton

Polly is celebrating the Fische finally being granted planning permission - for now at least. Meanwhile Jim has found some bizarre magazine on taxidermy. I'm doing Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure tonight.

Tuesday 14/10/03 by Debbie Page

Time for a quick close-up whilst we're both in the middle of taking calls.

Monday 13/10/03 by Phil Newton

The camera is on the front counter to get a picture of Polly, Bev and I. Yes, there really is a show called Boobies coming soon, but some of us are somewhat disappointed to discover that it's not the female equivalent to Puppetry Of The Penis.

Sunday 12/10/03 by Phil Newton

It's back to the six day working week for us whilst the Comedy Festival is in full swing. Bev and I are getting ready to do the door for the matinee performance of Sing-A-Long-The Wizard Of Oz.

Saturday 11/10/03 by Debbie Page

A boring picture of me working at Polly's desk is suddenly enlivened by Cotton peering into view.

Friday 10/10/03 by Debbie Page

It's the opening day of this year's Paramount Brighton Comedy Festival. If only I'd been doing a 2.45pm photo I'd have been onto a winner today. The Argus were doing a photo shoot outside our office with comedians Arthur Smith and Mark Little aboard the Festival double-decker bus.

A lovely shot right up my nose taken from my keyboard.

Wednesday 08/10/03 by Phil Newton

Nick's been doing a bit of furniture rearranging in the lounge with the two sofas now facing one another across the table. I'm not convinced. I'm now reading Lullaby from the warped imagination of Chuck Palahniuk.

Tuesday 07/10/03 by Debbie Page

The Box Office improvements continue apace! Hail the arrival of the new telephone headsets - no more cradling that phone between ear and shoulder, and hopefully no more neck-ache.

Monday 06/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

Lucy has kindly offered to help out during our busy month by coming in on her days off from Air 2000 at Gatwick airport. She's busy saving every penny she can for her forthcoming trip to India, Asia and New Zealand, departing early November.

Sunday 05/10/03 by Phil Newton

The cold weather must be fast approaching, I've got the gas fire on in the lounge. Catching up with yesterday's copy of The Guardian and recovering from a late night with Dom (and Jim, briefly) at Lucy's house party. We were the last to leave.

Saturday 04/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

That's right, only single seats available. No, no pairs, they're single seats. That means you can't sit together. No, they're not next to one another, otherwise that would be a pair of seats. Oh, the joys of explaining ticket availability to some of our customers.

Friday 03/10/03 by Phil Newton

The Box Office's long program of continued improvements now includes cutting a letterbox-like slot in one wall so that Bev and Debbie can see if there's any customers standing at the counter. Another ideal location to prop my camera on then.

Thursday 02/10/03 by Dominic Plucknett

The great elastic band war of 2003 has begun. Jim and Dom are the main ringleaders but I like to join in when they're least expecting it. Jim is clearly trying to provoke me here.

Wednesday 01/10/03 by Jim Turner

After Bev's success a couple of days ago, I'm now called upon to present Cotton with his First Aid training certificate. Congratulations Cotton!
