Hong Kong Island

Star Ferry

We spent most of Tuesday over on Hong Kong Island. The first 'must-do' thing was catching the Star Ferry across the harbour.

View from Victoria Peak

We then took the furnicular railway up Victoria Peak for some absolutely spectacular views - and got chatting to some old fella who'd been taking photos around HK for the past fifty years.

Trams in Causeway Bay

In the afternoon we caught one of the old trams along to Causeway Bay and then ended up getting caught in HMV for quite a while!

Nathan Road

We found a great Cantonese restaurant in the evening and then wandered around more of the shops in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Kowloon. Have stocked up on plenty of cheap DVDs!

I'm soooo jealous!!!

If you get a chance could you try and get me Wild Zero (2000) - Tetsuro Takeuchi and The Calamari Wrestler (2004) - Minoru Kawasaki on DVD (with English Subs!), I'm having problems tracking them down!!

Didn't see either of those anywhere... have picked up Sho Pa Lang, Lady Vengeance, Buppah Rahtree, Inner Senses, Kairo and Marebito and a few others though.

A nice bunch of films! Drop us a line when you get back and I'll pop over, crack open a few beers and we can watch them!
