I read it in books

Thursday's meme of the day, courtesy of Kumquat's blog.

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Turn to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the text of this sentence into your blog, along with these instructions.
  5. Don't search around for the "coolest" book you can find, just the one that is next to you.

My sentence is...

"This is what I ask."

And I'll be very impressed if you can name the book that it came from!

Godel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid (page 123, sentence 5)

And most of the time your ear or brain does the "calculation" for you, and lets your emotions know what they want to hear.

just for fun i'm going to do it again with a different book, that's the kind of livin' on the edge gal i am!!!

"She unpacked the presents Dolly's children had sent him and told him what sort of a little girl Tanya was in Moscow and how Tanya could read and was even teaching the other children to read"

From my all time favourite novel, Anna Karenina.
